Hello … and welcome! I’m so happy you’re here!

With a title of Virtual COO, I get a lot of questions about what it is I do. It kind of reminds me of that scene in Office Space where the team members are being interviewed by the Bob’s.

“What would you say … you do here?”

Okay, it’s not exactly like that. But, I know you’re wondering. What is a COO?

In corporate terms, (per Wikipedia) the chief operating officer (COO), also called the chief operations officer, is one of the highest-ranking executive positions in an organization. The COO is responsible for the daily operation of the company and routinely reports to the CEO. The COO is usually second in command.

Since I’m mostly working with online businesses, I’m not that formal. However, as a COO, my main focus is on the daily operations of your company and I do partner with the CEO/business owner.

As a Virtual COO for business owners who don’t require a full-time COO on their team, I help you get your vision out of your head and onto paper to provide clarity, direction and focus as well as help implement structure and processes so you scale and grow your business.

I work with the CEO on all the things they don’t want to do (and probably shouldn’t do) but has to do when they have a growing business. Things like people, processes, project management, legal, scheduling, communications, accountability and more.

I also partner with the CEO to help execute the business strategy – so think integrator.

After explaining what I do, I get the same response each time – that is exactly what I need!

It really is such a high-value service for people who are passionate about what their business does, but they don’t want to work on all the underpinnings of keeping the business running smoothly.

Who do I work with?

My clients are 6 and 7 figure women entrepreneurs in a variety of industries who are working to support their clients and customers.

Typically, these successful women business owners turn the operations responsibility over to an operations-focused resource once the business is consistently generating revenue and steadily growing.

This tipping point is generally around $250K where the business becomes too much for one person to keep up with and have a life outside of work.

The business owner finds that she no longer has the bandwidth to focus “on” the business (growth) while managing her team, responding to clients and being buried in the day-to-day activities of the business.

So, is your business ready to hire a Virtual COO to help you scale your growing business?

Well, often the business is ready to take the next step in growing before the business owner is. Especially women business owners – they are trying to do it all in their business — and often burning out in the process.

Sound familiar at all?

If so, hiring a Virtual COO may be the solution you need.

CEO vs COO

If you’re still unclear about the difference between the role of the CEO (visionary/creative) and COO (integrator), let’s quickly review the responsibilities of each.

The CEO and COO roles are different and at the same time very closely related and dependent on each other. It’s really a partnership between the two.

  • The CEO focuses on the GROWTH of the business.
  • The COO is responsible for ensuring the strategies, processes, systems, people and projects are in alignment with the vision, mission, and goals of the business.

When your business is ready — both financially (generating a steady income) AND operationally, hiring a Virtual COO is the next right step to scale and take your business to the next level – making your business more profitable and sustainable.

Whew, that’s a lot of information in a very short time!

So, instead of filling your head with more information, I will leave you with this ….
